Who I am
My name is Ana Lindade. My interest in art and how systems work has always been a driving force for me. I see product design as a meaningful way to integrate these interests.

After completing my Bachelor’s in Technology and Product Design at Aveiro Norte Higher School, I started my professional journey while pursuing a Master’s in Engineering and Product Design at the University of Aveiro.

In addition to freelance projects, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work in some different companies throughout my professional life. These included companies specialising in vehicle transformation (from ambulances to cash vans), optometry/ophthalmology, and custom carpentry. As I worked on the projects that came my way, I realized that what gave me the most pleasure and what I would like to focus on was monitoring a project in its entirety, without losing the conceptual/creative part (which we are often not allowed to do in a company).

This led me to create AL.design, to help individuals and companies that may lack the resources or experience to bring their ideas to life.

I take a proactive, responsible, and detail-oriented approach to my work. I believe communication with the client is essential to creating a clear project brief and achieving the desired result.

But in the end, how can I help:
Product/Industrial Design:
-conceptual development
-3D modeling
-rendering
-manufacturing drawings
Graphic Design:
-logotypes
-labels
-mockups
-posters
How the project will be proceed:
Firstly, it's important to remember that each project is unique, so there isn't a one-size-fits-all formula. However, in general:
In the projects I develop in PRODUCT DESIGN, it typically works like this...

1st stage
Define the project brief, essentially outlining what is desired, the target audience, inherent limitations, some requirements, styles, manufacturing processes/materials, deadlines, and so on;

2nd stage
Do the conceptual part and analyze it. Regarding the presentation of these concepts, sometimes it's not done through sketches but in 3D concepts;

3rd stage
Selection of one of the concepts or highlighting the best parts of each concept. Then, we make some tweaks until we end up with a final concept;

4th stage
Creation of the 3D model with suitability for manufacturing and validation;

5th stage
Creation of the project dossier with project description, materials and accessories to be used, manufacturing drawings, and some renders.

Note: Usually, when I create the 3D models, I present them to the client through renderings.
In the GRAPHIC DESIGN projects I develop, it typically works like this...

1st stage
Define the project brief, essentially outlining what is desired, the target audience, objectives, sharing necessary information,
deadlines, among other points;

2nd stage
Creation of proposals/concepts and analyze them;

3rd stage
Selection of a proposal or highlight the the best parts of each concept to create a final proposal;

4th stage
Create the final documents for delivery.
